Shaker Alignment
« on: August 15, 2017, 11:12:58 PM »
Here are pictures of the issue I am having. As you can see the air cleaner is a bit pitched to the lower left of the shaker hole. This prevents the shaker from lining up perfectly. The car HAD a 6cyl with auto trans. It now has a Pontiac 400 with a T10 4 speed. Any suggestions on getting the shaker aligned? Thanks!

I want more pictures of the bird! But towards your problem, are you sure the motor mounts are where they need to be?

I had a ‘79 original 403 car that had a sbc put in it. When I got it the shaker wasn’t on and had similar problem. I drilled out the rivets holding the fiberglass portion to the base or something like.

That moved it to fit and riveted it back. Seemed way too simple but was years ago.
