Looking at a 67/68 bird
« on: October 20, 2006, 01:54:28 PM »
I'm looking at purchasing either a 67 or 68 firebird project.  I love these 1st gen cars.  The only thing I would change on them is to put the 69 grill and headlight assembly.  Does anyone know if this is a direct bolt on?  I am assuming that the dimensions are all the same as the body is virtually unchanged from 67 through 69.  Even if it isn't a direct bolt on, fabricating mounts is no problem.  I guess I'm just concerned about getting all the parts and finding out that the 69's assembly to too wide, narrow, short, etc.

Anything knowledge you would like to pass on would be appreciated.

I do not know if it is a direct bolt on but one thing to remmeber, on the 68's the quarter panels had the pontiac arrow that would light up and on the 69 it has the firebird.

Don't know if you wanted to change that also but thought i would throw it out there. Good luck ;D
